System modifications - There are a large number of system modifications running in the background. It appears to be legitimate but should be reviewed. Unsigned files - There is unsigned software installed. These issues do not need immediate attention but they may indicate future problems.Ĭlean up - There are orphan files that could be removed. ![]() I'm backing up all my files with a view to doing a reinstall but have come across EtreCheck in another post, so have run that and shared the report here in case there's something else I can do to avoid a reinstall.Īny suggestions would be gratefully received! I use Adobe Creative Cloud for my adobe apps so they're all up to date. Windows & Excel for Mac are also very slow to open (this is a 365 subscription). ![]() It seems that Adobe apps like Photoshop, Lightroom & InDesign take forever to open, and other applications are slow but not as bad. IMac Late 2012 Running very slow I've read endless posts about this, have cleaned up loads of cache files, unwanted mail attachments etc and run a Disk Utility First Aid which showed no problems. PS: I'm not super tech savvy so I will need directions for dumb people haha. I want to get rid of Adobe once and for all. It takes a whole hour for the message to even pop up. An hour later a message will pop up thats trying to log me in to my Creative Cloud account. Whenever this occurs (and I swear it sometimes just happens randomly without me clicking on these old files - The other day I turned my computer on and the Illustrator app magically reappeared on my desktop out of nowhere.) it slows my computer down tremendously. I have tried throwing out all Adobe apps but it doesn't help. However, there are some that haven't been changed and when I forget and click on them, Adobe tries to load. I now use "Infinity" and have changed most INDD files to IDML so Infinity will open them. That said, I used to use Adobe "Illustrator" and "InDesign". I have a pretty old mac mini, that froze up and is now backed up with an external hard drive.
